SRCE upgraded its computing infrastructure with assistance of EU Funds

The aim of this project is to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of small and medium enterprises and Croatian economy through the provision of the necessary infrastructure in the field of high-performance computing. Such infrastructure is needed by the enterprises which base their work and development on the knowledge and application of the newest technologies. The project is aimed at enlargement of the Croatian National Grid Infrastructure (CRO NGI) and is coordinated by Srce. CRO NGI is a common resource of the scientific and academic community and represents essential infrastructure for scientific research, application of the new technologies and integration of Croatia and Croatian scientists into the European Research Area (ERA) and European Higher Education Area (EHEA) (http://www.cro-ngi.hr/).

Within this project a three-day workshop on graphic processor programming has been prepared for the users. The workshop will take place at Srce from 30 January to 1 February and will be repeated in the future if needed.

At the event, the performance possibilities of the new equipment and importance of its integration into CRO NGI were demonstrated.
