New Technology Park Opened in Split

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković officially inaugurated the Split – Dračevac Technology Park, the largest technology park in Croatia, featuring over 17,000 square meters of office space for entrepreneurs, a conference center with four halls, meeting rooms, a Smart City and 3D laboratory, as well as accompanying facilities including cafes, restaurants, a shop, and a kindergarten.

Alongside the Prime Minister, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets Branko Bačić, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Šime Erlić, Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina, CFCA Director Dragan Jelić, Split-Dalmatia County Prefect Blaženko Boban, the Mayor of Split Ivica Puljak, and many other guests.

At the concluding conference, Prime Minister Plenković emphasized that the realization of the Technology Park project exemplifies successful cooperation between the Government and the City of Split. He added that the project is valued at 22 million euros, of which 14 million was funded through the ITU mechanism. He stated that the park will transform Split, making it, in addition to being a cultural, scientific, tourism, transport, and sports hub, a major technology park for Croatia.

“I have the privilege of being Prime Minister for three terms, and now I can genuinely see a project being initiated and brought to completion. That makes me extremely proud. This project, the Split Technology Park, is a testament to that. I thank Mayor Puljak as well as former Mayor Krstulović Opara and his entire team. Such a center is a milestone for Split and for the high-tech industry. I believe this immense capacity will position the Split Technology Park as the largest technology hub in Croatia, on the Adriatic, and in the Mediterranean. It’s worth noting that funds through the ITU mechanism significantly contributed to co-financing this park. Split has received substantial support from this fund. We focused on four major cities, and the EIB prioritized projects like this one, including Split and its technology park,” said Plenković.

Split Mayor Ivica Puljak thanked Prime Minister Plenković for accepting the invitation to attend the concluding conference, stating that the Technology Park marks a new chapter in the development of Split.

“The Technology Park is a major step forward for Split and Croatia. This flagship city project underscores our commitment to growth and innovation. I believe that solutions for the challenges facing our city and the world will be created here. Our talented young people now have an opportunity to work in an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. I invite them to fill these spaces that we have built for them, as this is their chance to shine and develop our city through their ideas and projects,” said Puljak.
