The project was financed by the European Union and was implemented within 12 months. Twinning project ensured sufficient operational capacities and qualified staff for supporting the border control as well as improvement of the co-operation with the national border control authorities, especially between Border Police and Customs Administration and further enhanced cooperation in some working procedures (e.g. processing in case of smuggling of cigarettes, goods etc).
