The project was implemented in partnership between Ministry of Agriculture of Republic of Croatia and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia, with administrative support of Croatian Central Finance and Contracting Agency. Project lasted eight months from 3rd February 2019. The budget for this EU funded project was 243.629,00 EUR. During implementation, Croatian and Serbian experts have jointly implemented a number of activities in order to improve the institutional framework in the sector of fisheries. After conducted analysis of institutional and legal framework, the following studies have been made: Study of the situation in the sector of Fisheries, Strategy for improving the national catch certification scheme reporting system, Study on implementation of marketing standards and draft rulebook that will align existing market standards with EU standards. Croatian experts have conducted a number of workshops and organized study visits for colleagues from Serbia to relevant Croatian institutions. At the Closing ceremony, the participants were addressed by Mr. Senad Mahmutović, State Secretary in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia, Mr. Hourdas Sakellaris Head of Operation Sector III EU Delegation in Republic of Serbia, Mr. Gordan Bakota, Ambassador of Croatia in Serbia and Mr. Ante Mišura, Assistant in Ministry of Agriculture of Croatia. MS Project Leader, Mr. Mario Rogoščić, Head of Sector for Fishery Inspections and Ms. Mirta Novak from Ministry of Agriculture of Croatia, presented achieved results and activities of the project.
