Final conference of the EU project “Croatian Employment Service Labour Market Training Centre"

During the project, a number of activities were implemented for strengthening the capacities of labour market institutions and organisations in establishing the system of education of experts dealing with the labour market, with the final aim to implement active labour market policies more efficiently. Within the project, the activities of defining the key competences and quality standards for the CES core and supportive business processes were implemented, based on which the identification of the training needs was conducted.

Within this project, the Croatia Employment Service Labour Market Training Centre has been established, which will enable continuous improvement of knowledge and skills of the Croatian Employment Service and other labour market institutions’ and organisations’ staff, in line with the labour market needs and the needs of labour market institutions’ and organisations’ clients. Within the project, a support was provided to the labour market stakeholders for the development of a sustainable system of training the experts dealing with the issues of employment, education and social inclusion.

Furthermore, within the project, the training of 50 trainers from the Croatian Employment Service and other labour market institutions and organisations in transferring relevant knowledge and skills regarding employment and labour market services to the CES staff and other labour market stakeholders was conducted. The gained knowledge enabled the trainers to independently deliver trainings for 200 CES employees and other labour market stakeholders staff, increasing their competences for efficient execution of their regular work, such as counselling services for the unemployed, labour market analysis, support to the employers and other activities contributing to better labour market functioning.
