Establishment of centers for Implementation of IPPC at regional level in Croatia

The Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia held the closing ceremony of the project “Establishment of centers for Implementation of IPPC at regional level in Croatia” financed under EU IPA Programme for Croatia. The objective of this project worth € 1.120.000 EUR was to develop Croatia’s capacity for the implementation of the EU Directive 2008/1/EC “concerning integrated pollution prevention and control” (the IPPC Directive), which has been transposed into Croatian legislation. The primary target was to help industries, but also to help other stakeholders (e.g. regional and local self-government units, NGOs, Croatian Environment Agency, Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection) involved in the IPPC implementation and permitting process. The Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection is the Main Beneficiary.
