The specific objective of the project is to support the Union acquis alignment and implementation of policy measures in the veterinary area. Veterinary sector in BiH expects that this intervention will specifically result in better gradual approximation, development of efficient legislation and improvement of the policy measures by harmonised operational procedures in the areas of animal health, animal welfare and animal waste / by products control and management.
The implementation of the project is proceeding successfully and on the 10th March 2021 the 2nd Project Steering Committee Meeting was held remotely. The results of the implemented activities in the first 6 months of the project implementation were presented. Quality cooperation has been established between experts from the Member States and experts from BiH. The Rolling work plan for the next 6 months period was presented. The project continued with the work in online mode, expecting that the situation caused by the Covid-19 virus will improve, so as to enable on site missions.
