About programs
ABOUT PROGRAMMES
European Union has awarded 1,6 million EUR through assistance programmes for financing various kinds of projects in the Republic of Croatia.
Croatia is the beneficiary of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance – IPA until its EU accession. In the Financial Perspective 2007 – 2013, IPA programme has replaced first generation of EU programmes (CARDS, Phare, ISPA and SAPARD).
The primary objective of IPA programme is providing assistance to candidate countries and potential candidates in harmonization of national legislation with acquis communautaire and strengthening capacities for implementation of new laws and regulations.
The Republic of Croatia also participates in utilization of specific EU programmes which represent an integral sequence of activities adopted by European Union for the purpose of promoting cooperation between EU member states in different areas related to EU Common Policies.
